Position Summary:

This position is responsible for packing fruit into boxes.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead by example our Blue Star Vision, Mission, and Values
  • Be kind and offer solutions
  • Essential functions for this position include wrapping fruit and/or placing fruit into trays and then into boxes
  • Verifying that fruit packed into boxes is acceptable
  • This individual will move packed boxes from the packing horse to the three-chain conveyor belt
  • This individual is required to stay in their assigned work area, except during break times
  • This individual may be rotated into the presort and/or sorting area or pack fruit by the hour
  • This individual is responsible to verify that the correct bar codes are being placed on the box based on package type and fruit size, as well as their correct packing number sticker
  • Other duties as assigned
