Job description

CHEP helps move more goods to more people, in more places than any other organization on earth via our 347 million pallets, crates and containers. We employ approximately 13,000 people and operate in 60 countries. Through our pioneering and sustainable share-and-reuse business model, the world's biggest brands trust us to help them transport their goods more efficiently, safely and with less environmental impact.
What does that mean for you? You'll join an international organization big enough to take you anywhere, and small enough to get you there sooner. You'll help change how goods get to market and contribute to global sustainability. You'll be empowered to bring your authentic self to work and be surrounded by diverse and driven professionals. And you can maximize your work-life balance and flexibility through ourHybrid Work Model.

Job DescriptionYou'll be responsible for planning, designing, and delivering the Target Business Model (TBM) within the Serialisation+ (S+) business transformation program, reporting to the S+ Business Transformation Lead, who holds overall end-to-end accountability.
The role focuses on the operational delivery and evolution of the TBM, ensuring that the foundations established in Chile are consolidated, embedded into the business, and developed into scalable, repeatable approaches that can be applied in other markets.
You'll design how the business should operate across processes, roles, decision rights, governance, and ways of working. Working closely with business teams, it translates strategic direction into clear operating model designs, assesses design options, and supports teams in resolving practical trade-offs during implementation.
Success in the role means providing structure and clarity in complex situations, enabling alignment around well designed solutions, and ensuring that TBM designs deliver measurable improvements in business performance and customer experience.
Key deliverables include a documented TBM playbook and operating model framework (principles, standards, decision logic, and market replication approach), built upon Chile learnings, with clear, tangible outputs that capture the design, rationale, and implementation guidance for scale.

Key Responsibilities May Include:

  • Lead the planning and execution of highly complex projects, ensuring key milestones and project goals are met, by leading multi-functional teams
  • Collaborate with Program/portfolio management teams to align projects with overall business strategies and objectives.
  • Agree and manage project governance, including Steering Committees and LT Sponsorship Groups, ensuring timely decisions and follow-ups.
  • Oversee the execution of change management strategies, including training rollouts and communication plans.
  • Manage project dependencies, ensuring alignment with BAU activities and other projects in the portfolio.
  • Provide regular project updates to stakeholders, summarizing progress, priorities, and key decisions.
  • Ensure adherence to PMO governance, implementing standardized tools and processes to maintain compliance and quality control.
  • Manage project budgets, ensuring accurate financial tracking and reporting.
  • Oversee the transition of solutions to business-as-usual support, ensuring smooth handover and operational readiness.
  • Conduct lessons learned sessions to identify areas for improvement and share best practices across the organization.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, ensuring clear communication, resolving issues, and driving project success.
  • Coach and Mentor wider Project managers & analysts in effective project management across building the capability across the team and enhancing the organisations project management capabilities.

Role Focus

1. Target Business Model Ownership & Continuity

  • Own and execute the TBM workstream plan, fully integrated with the overall program roadmap, milestones, and governance cadence.
  • Take full accountability for the evolution of the existing TBM, including interim and future states, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and delivery realities.
  • Drive formal stakeholder endorsement of TBM updates and design decisions.
  • Preserve and institutionalise TBM knowledge, design rationale, and decision history, ensuring continuity beyond individual roles and preventing redesign or fragmentation.

2. TBM Design, Gap Analysis & Decision Logic

  • Ensure structured As-Is / To-Be gap analysis across people, process, technology, data, and controls, and use this analysis to shape priorities, sequencing, and design choices.
  • Define and apply clear decision frameworks (e.g. standardisation vs localisation, interim vs target, speed vs robustness) to accelerate alignment and reduce rework.
  • Surface and resolve trade-offs, constraints, and dependencies proactively, supporting leaders in making timely, informed decisions.

3. Transition, Readiness & Adoption

  • Co-lead TBM-level transition planning, including readiness criteria, exit conditions, and transition to BAU, in close collaboration with the Change lead.
  • Partner with the Change teams to ensure TBM designs are operationally viable, adopted by the business, and stabilised post-implementation.

4. Transformation Delivery & Results Focus

  • Create a strong sense of urgency and accountability, sustaining momentum across complex, multi-workstream environments.
  • Support program governance, progress tracking, risk management, and issue resolution related to the TBM.
  • Ensure TBM decisions and implementations contribute to measurable business outcomes, with clear linkage to KPIs and benefits realisation.

5. Chile Consolidation & North America/Europe Expansion

  • Consolidate and stabilise TBM adoption in Chile, ensuring consistency, maturity, and sustained value realisation.
  • Lead early phase TBM shaping and kickoff in North America/Europe, navigating ambiguity, regional complexity, and stakeholder dynamics.
  • Translate Chile learnings into scalable patterns, standards, and design principles to accelerate replication while allowing for necessary localisation.

6. Stakeholder Management, Communication & Storytelling

  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders and cross functional teams across Commercial, Operations, Finance, Data, Technology, and Change and other Enterprise programs (Operating Model)
  • Facilitate executive level workshops, decision forums, and design sessions to drive alignment and closure.
  • Produce executive ready materials (SteerCo updates, one pagers, decision packs) tailored to different audiences.

Experience

  • 8-12+ years in management consulting or largescale digital / data driven transformation within complex, global organisations. Industry exposure to complex operations (supply chain, logistics, FMCG, asset intensive) is a plus
  • Proven experience owning and delivering a Target Operating / Business Model, from design through adoption. Experience with scaling a model from pilot to rollout is a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to work across regions, ideally with exposure to the Americas
  • Track record of operating effectively in high ambiguity environments, driving progress before everything is fully defined

About You

  • Customer centric and curious, motivated by simplifying experiences, removing friction, and continuously improving how the organisation serves customers.
  • Results driven, with a clear focus on delivering tangible improvements for customers and the business.
  • Structured and dependable, able to coordinate multiple activities and stakeholders without losing momentum.
