Competitive summer pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour + $2/hour for each additional sibling!
Looking for a fun and meaningful summer job working with kids? We're hiring reliable, caring, and energetic Seasonal Summer Sitters to join our respite care team! This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on childcare experience, build your resume, and enjoy a flexible summer schedule that works for you.
You'll focus on creating meaningful connections and fun summer experiences with children, while we provide the support of a caring team and opportunities to make a real difference.
When you're a child's caregiver, you're not just supervising, you're inspiring them with the very best of you.
You'll get to:

Be Playful - Spend your summer enjoying games, crafts, outdoor play, and creative activities alongside kids.

Compensation + Benefits:
  • Paid training + professional development
  • Flexible summer scheduling (great for students or those with seasonal availability)
  • All work within 15-20 miles of your home
  • Mileage reimbursement for up to 20 miles of your round trip (after the first 20 miles)

About You:
  • Able to provide 3 references: 2 non-family childcare-related (paid or unpaid) and 1 character reference
  • At least 1 year of childcare experience (special needs experience a plus!)
  • Compassionate, reliable, and safety-focused
  • Minimum age: 18 years old
  • Reliable vehicle + valid driver's license
  • CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to obtain-we'll reimburse you!)
  • Available during summer months, with shifts of at least 4 hours (daytime and evening shifts available)
  • Comfortable working with children ages 6 months-12+ years
  • Able to lift 35 lbs, stay active, and react quickly to ensure child safety

Working Conditions & Requirements:
  • Active, kid-centered environment including play, activities, and clean-up
  • Time spent outdoors enjoying summer weather (parks, walks, backyard play, etc.)
  • Involves lifting, bending, squatting, and frequent movement throughout the day
  • Ability to remain calm and effective in emergent situations
