CAMP DATES:
Camp Cure: June 8 - 12, 2026
DMG Camp: June 15 - 19 & June 22 - 26, 2026
Pay rate is $800/week
BASIC PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Provide supervision and ensure safety of swimmers, enforce rules and safety guidelines, maintains a clean and safe pool environment, and provides emergency assistance.

  • Deidra Seiber, PTA & Dolly Children's Camps Director

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Supervisory Responsibilities: NO
Number of Direct Reports: N/A
Minimum Education: No minimum education requirements.
License/Certification Required: Current CPR, First Aid, and Lifeguard Certification Required
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  • Communication and engagement with camp staff and camper populations.
  • Swimming Proficiency
  • Current CPR, First Aid, and Lifeguard Certification
  • Supervise swimming activities, assess safety, and enforce water safety rules.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Ensure safety of swimmers / campers in and around pool environment
  • Monitor activity and enforce pool rules.
  • Respond to Emergencies
  • Perform rescue procedures and provide first aid.
  • Complete facility maintenance including routine pool chemical monitoring and inspection for potential safety risks.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the pool area.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS-Note: Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position.
  • Heavy lifting, pushing, and pulling is required up to 50 lbs occasionally, 20-30 lbs frequently, and 10lbs constantly to move objects of up to 150 lbs. Sudden emergency situations have the potential for exposure to lifting or moving of up to 150 lbs. Frequent bending, walking, sitting squatting, reaching, and standing are required.
