Job description

Woodfield Country Club in Boca Raton is seeking Children's Activities Supervisors to assist in our Children's Clubhouse operation. The Children's Activities Supervisor is responsible for caring for members children ranging in age from infant to 7 years and organizes and leads activities of children in playroom. Must have prior child care experience with proof of excellent references. Outgoing personality and excellent communication skills is a must. 
This is an excellent opportunity for teacher's assistants and/or those pursuing early childhood education.
 Must be willing to work flexible hours including: days, nights, weekends, and holidays when scheduled.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervises, and evaluates children's program staff as needed.
  • Plans and monitors activities.
  • Provide quality service to all members and staff.
  • Organizes and plans birthday parties for the members' children.
  • Review all member bills for accuracy before presenting to the client.
  • Assists in producing children's communications for members, including the monthly children's schedule.
  • Organizes and participates in games and activities, reads to children, and teaches them simple skills such as colors, numbers, songs and similar activities.
  • Maintains a clean play area and discipline.
  • Directs children in eating, resting, and toileting/diapering.
  • Helps children develop habits of caring for own belongings and picking up and putting away toys and books.
  • Serves meals and refreshments to children.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Weekend and holiday availability required
  • Background in Early Childhood Education
  • CPR/AED Certification 
  • Previous experience working in child care
  • 1-2 years of prior related supervisory experience
