The Child-Care Administrator provides on-site administrative oversight of child-care program(s) for the residential center.

  • Develops, implements, coordinates, monitors and evaluates residential child-care programs to ensure that child-care services meet the developmental needs and safety of children in care.
  • Plans, develops, and conducts classes and/or structured activities for children.
  • Observes children during program activities, provides consultation in response to needs or concerns, and assists in managing disputes or issues.
  • Assists in the formulation and/or review of facility policies for areas under supervision; makes recommendations for changes where appropriate.
  • Supervises subordinate staff in the performance of their duties and evaluates as prescribed by the facility and company policy.
  • Coordinates program activity or services for designated program and provides for areas under supervision to be adequately staffed. 
  • Ensures staff is prepared to handle emergency situations. Creates and maintains accurate, complete and appropriate records as required by policy, regulations and procedures including, program plans, attendance, participation, evaluations, and other statistical information.
  • Establishes and maintains list(s) of eligible participants in designated child-care program(s). 
  • Reviews and facilitates request(s) for accommodation, as needed.  Monitors program completion and manages discipline issues; recommends corrective action or removal from program as necessary.
