Job description

Occam Solutions is searching for a Chief Enterprise Architect. This position is contingent of award of contract.


Primary Responsibility: The Chief Enterprise Architect shall be the ultimate technical authority responsible for the design, scalability, and integration of the entire data ecosystem, ensuring the architecture meets all requirements of the PWS Sections 4.3 and 4.5.


Minimum Qualifications: The Chief Enterprise Architect shall meet the requirements for the “Chief Enterprise Architect” labor category as defined in the CHESS ITES-3S contract vehicle and the following additional qualifications:


  • Ten (10) years of experience designing scalable, secure, and resilient enterprise-level systems, with at least five (5) of those years focused specifically on data-intensive solutions in a cloud environment.
  • Five (5) years of hands-on data modeling experience, including the creation of both logical and physical data models.
  • Verifiable project experience serving as the lead architect for data integration and ETL/ELT processes, as well as designing both Online Analytical Processing (OLAP) and Online Transaction Processing (OLTP) systems.
  • A professional-level cloud architect certification (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert).
  • Experience serving as the lead technical authority responsible for creating and maintaining formal architecture documentation (e.g., system views, technical roadmaps) for a complex data ecosystem.
