  • The incumbent will serve as the Chief Technology Officer for the Office of the Chief Information Officer
  • Participates fully with the OCIO leadership team and other key policy officials in formulating and determining long-range and current policies and programs of the agency, as they affect and/or relate to functions and activities of the data center.
  • Oversees and directs the formulation and establishment of Enterprise Data Center policy, program recommendations and their coordination with those of other organizational units of OCIO, the Department, and other public and private agencies and groups
  • Establishes policies and plans for assuring a solid financial basis for Enterprise Data Center operations and keeps the Deputy, Chief Information Officer and other key officials apprised of the financial position.
  • Is held accountable for the overall planning, management, direction and coordination of Enterprise Data Center Operations functions and activities.
  • Determines Enterprise Data Center policy and plans implementing programs within broad bounds and authority delegated; and recommends and justifies those requiring approval by higher authority to officials concerned.
  • Directs and coordinates the development of Enterprise Data Center funding arrangements and recommends and justifies them to the Deputy Chief Information Officer and other key officials.

TECHNICAL QUALIFICATION (TQ):
In addition to the ECQs, applicants must clearly demonstrate in their resume that they meet the following technical qualification(s).
  1. Describe your experience leading enterprise-wide modernization of digital infrastructure, technology platforms, and IT services across a large complex organization. Include examples of developing and executing strategic initiatives that incorporate cloud services, shared services, low code/no code platforms, and emerging technologies while simultaneously directing enterprise level technology risk management, cybersecurity alignment, and resilience of critical IT systems.
  2. Describe your experience successfully managing technology services funded through shared services e.g., Working Capital Fund (WCF) models, including developing accurate, justifiable, and transparent cost estimates for customers.
