Job description

Position Overview

DigiForce Security is seeking a hands-on Chief Technology Officer (CTO) & Director of Solutions Architecture to serve as the company's principal technology leader and strategic advisor to the CEO. Reporting directly to the CEO, this executive will be responsible for driving technology innovation, organizational maturity, compliance readiness, solution architecture, and technical business development efforts that support the company's long-term growth objectives.
This role combines executive leadership with practical execution. The successful candidate will help guide DigiForce Security through its next phase of growth by strengthening internal operations, expanding technical capabilities, improving proposal competitiveness, and establishing the processes and governance necessary to scale successfully within the commercial and federal/state/local government contracting marketplace.
This is a unique opportunity for an entrepreneurial technology executive who enjoys building organizations rather than simply managing them. The successful candidate will play a critical role in helping DigiForce Security evolve from a growing small business into a mature, scalable federal contractor capable of competing for larger and more complex opportunities.
We are seeking a leader who understands the challenges and opportunities facing growth-stage government contractors and has experience in establishing the technology, compliance, operational, and solution-delivery foundations required to support sustainable expansion. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable developing strategic roadmaps, architecting customer solutions, writing proposal content, implementing compliance programs, and rolling up their sleeves to solve complex business and technical challenges.
This role is designed for a builder and innovator who wants to leave a lasting impact on the organization's future and help shape the next generation of DigiForce Security's growth and success.
Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the company's technology, innovation, and digital transformation strategy.
  • Serve as DigiForce Security's principal technology leader and trusted advisor to the CEO and executive team.
  • Lead organizational maturity initiatives, including preparation for CMMC Level 2, SOC 2 Type II, ISO 9001, ISO 20000-1, and ISO 27001 certifications.
  • Establish scalable technology, security, governance, and operational processes that support company growth.
  • Serve as the lead solutions architect for customer opportunities, proposals, and technical engagements.
  • Support business development through technical solution design, proposal writing, technical volume reviews, oral presentations, and customer discussions.
  • Evaluate and implement technologies that improve service delivery, cybersecurity posture, operational efficiency, and competitive positioning.
  • Identify new service offerings, strategic partnerships, and emerging technologies that align with market demand and company growth objectives.
  • Mentor technical staff and promote a culture of innovation, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Represent the company in customer, partner, industry, and government engagements as the senior technical authority.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in technology leadership, cybersecurity, systems engineering, solution architecture, or related disciplines.
  • Demonstrated success supporting federal government contracting environments and proposal development efforts.
  • Experience leading organizational growth, compliance initiatives, technology modernization, or operational transformation efforts.
  • Working knowledge of NIST 800-171, CMMC, SOC 2, ISO 27001, and related cybersecurity and quality management frameworks.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with executives, customers, partners, and technical teams.
  • Demonstrated experience helping small or emerging government contractors scale from approximately 10–20 employees into larger, more mature organizations through the development of operational processes, technology strategies, compliance programs, solution delivery capabilities, and growth-focused infrastructure.
  • Experience building or leading organizations through periods of significant growth, including establishing the people, processes, technologies, and governance structures necessary to support larger federal contracts and expanded service offerings.
  • Experience working within a small business, startup, or growth-stage organization is highly preferred.
Preferred Certifications

  • CISSP
  • CISM
  • PMP
  • TOGAF
  • AWS or Azure Solutions Architect
  • CMMC Certified Professional (CCP)
  • ISO 27001 Lead Implementer or Lead Auditor
What We Look for in You
  • A champion for our clients, with a proactive mindset toward threat detection and resolution
  • Adept at explaining complex threats to non-technical stakeholders
  • Eager to collaborate with cross-functional teams to devise client-specific security enhancements
  • A continuous learner, staying abreast of the latest threats and defense mechanisms
  • Holder of relevant technical qualifications and a beacon of analytical ability
