Director Of Nursing/Director Of Clinical Services

The Director Of Nursing/Director Of Clinical Services serves as a member of the management team in order to oversee the delivery of hospice services and staff development needs. The Director Of Nursing/Director Of Clinical Services works to put forth suggestions for appropriate additions/changes in policies and procedures and to give peer input to enhance and improve the management function. The Director Of Nursing/Director Of Clinical Services assists the Chief Administrative Officer to supervise the planning, coordination and delivery of the interdisciplinary group interventions, assigns hospice patient/family to appropriate staff members, and oversees scheduling of the clinical team visits and execution of services by the interdisciplinary group. Apart from providing support to the Chief Administrative Officer and the rest of the clinical team, the Director Of Nursing/Director Of Clinical Services is adept at counseling and guiding patients and families as well.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
  • Current California Registered Nurse
  • Experience in a clinical management role
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a professional nurse within the last five (5) years.
  • At least one (1) year of hospice experience
  • Ability to work independently, make accurate, and at times, quick judgments.
  • Ability to respond appropriately to crisis outside of a hospital setting.
  • Ability to supervise others appropriately.
  • Acceptance of and adaptability to different social, racial, cultural and religious modes.
  • Expertise in pain management, symptom control, crisis intervention, and family support.
  • Excellent demonstrated critical thinking skills and superior clinical judgment.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Reliable cell phone with local number and coverage.
  • Valid driver's license, proof of acceptable automobile insurance coverage, and reliable personal transportation.
