About Chicago Tech Academy

Chicago Tech Academy (ChiTech) is an educational community dedicated to educating, empowering, and connecting a diverse next generation of entrepreneurial thinkers to discover their passions, succeed in college, and thrive in a digital world.

We are seeking a strategic, results-driven leader to serve as our Director of Student Recruitment and Enrollment. This role is responsible for leading all enrollment efforts from a family's first inquiry through the 20th-day enrollment count while ensuring Chicago Tech Academy meets its annual enrollment and retention goals.

Position Summary

The Director of Student Recruitment and Enrollment owns Chicago Tech Academy's student enrollment strategy and operations. This leader manages the entire recruitment pipeline, develops feeder school and community partnerships, oversees recruitment events, and drives enrollment growth.

The Director works closely with school leadership, marketing, and community partners to ensure CTA opens each school year with a full and mission-aligned student body.

Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesEnrollment Strategy and Pipeline Management

โ€ข Lead the full enrollment pipeline, including inquiries, applications, acceptances, and enrollments

โ€ข Develop and execute an annual recruitment strategy with measurable outreach goals

โ€ข Monitor enrollment data and maintain weekly pipeline reporting

โ€ข Partner with marketing and communications teams to support recruitment efforts

โ€ข Manage enrollment budgets and analyze return on investment for recruitment activities

โ€ข Align enrollment efforts with GoCPS application and enrollment timelines

Community Partnerships and Recruitment

โ€ข Establish and maintain relationships with feeder schools and community organizations

โ€ข Conduct school visits, presentations, and recruitment fairs

โ€ข Represent Chicago Tech Academy at community events and neighborhood meetings

โ€ข Recruit, train, and supervise student ambassadors

โ€ข Develop recruitment partnerships that generate qualified student applicants

Family Engagement and Recruitment Events

โ€ข Plan and execute open houses, information sessions, shadow days, and recruitment events

โ€ข Create a welcoming and consistent family experience throughout the enrollment process

โ€ข Develop family engagement strategies that support enrollment conversion

โ€ข Track event participation and conversion metrics

Re-Enrollment and Retention

โ€ข Lead annual re-enrollment efforts

โ€ข Identify and address student retention risks

โ€ข Partner with school leadership to support student persistence and engagement

โ€ข Manage post-acceptance communications and summer enrollment activities

Data Management and Leadership

โ€ข Maintain accurate enrollment data and reporting systems

โ€ข Prepare weekly and monthly enrollment reports

โ€ข Contribute enrollment updates for board and leadership meetings

โ€ข Supervise enrollment staff and external recruitment partners

โ€ข Coordinate staffing and outreach efforts during peak enrollment periods

Key Performance Indicators

The Director of Student Recruitment and Enrollment is accountable for achieving the following annual goals:

โ€ข Total Enrollment: 300 students (stretch goal: 320)

โ€ข Incoming 9th Grade Cohort: 110 students or more

โ€ข Enrollment Yield Rate: 70% or higher

โ€ข Annual Pipeline: 500+ inquiries and 300+ applications

โ€ข Recruitment Events: 8 or more annually

โ€ข Student Re-Enrollment: 88% or higher by May 1

QualificationsRequired

โ€ข Bachelor's degree required

โ€ข Five or more years of progressive experience in enrollment, admissions, recruitment, marketing, sales, or related leadership roles

โ€ข Demonstrated success achieving enrollment, recruitment, or sales targets

โ€ข Experience managing CRM systems and recruitment pipelines

โ€ข Strong data analysis and reporting skills

โ€ข Experience supervising staff and managing partnerships

โ€ข Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills

โ€ข Commitment to educational equity and student success

Preferred

โ€ข Master's degree in Education, Marketing, Business, or a related field

โ€ข Bilingual English/Spanish

โ€ข Experience with Chicago Public Schools or charter school enrollment systems

โ€ข Existing relationships with Chicago schools, community organizations, or youth-serving agencies

โ€ข Experience in education marketing or digital advertising
