Job description

Senior Project Managerย - 24 Month Contract - Chicago, IL

Complex enterprise software implementations...you've planned, managed, and delivered them. You know the challenges, and you address them before they even surface. If this sounds like you, please read on.

We've been engaged by a unique organization that manages pensions and financial services for the largest labor unions in the world. They have an in-house PMO that houses senior level PM's who own projects, and the PMO Director provides autonomy, guidance, and influence that serves to empower you.

The Project:ย Migrate the enterprise from a legacy, on-prem core application to the absolute latest cloud-based (AWS) version that touches all aspects of their business (and is touched by all of their 700 employees). You'll slide into the spotlight to run this project from inception, being supported by a dedicated Change Manager and plenty of technical horsepower. In short, you (and the project) are set up to succeed.

The Environment:ย Professional, respectful, and collaborative - there's no challenge they canโ€™t communicate through. The work is hybrid from home 3 days per week and in office (northwest side of Chicago near Rosemont / O'Hare) 2 days per week - you choose the days.

The Compensation:ย Market hourly rate on a W2 or 1099 basis with a weekly pay cycle. The project will last 24+ months, with extensions possible. You have access to benefits, training, and flexible scheduling.

Required:ย You must bring 8+ years of IT Project Management experience within a corporate enterprise software development environment. You must have experience managing large SDLC related projects within the healthcare / insurance/ benefits space. You must have led a project that included migration to the cloud. Of course, you have technical acumen, relationship building skills, and a high level of conscientiousness - meaning you care deeply about doing your work well and enjoying those around you as you do.

Any experience with insurance / healthcare / benefits related enterprise software (such as Vitech V3locity, Guidewire, Majesco, Sapiens, Sagitec, Equinity, Alight, bswift, Benefitfocus, or Salesforce Vlocity, or similar) is a huge plus.

Local (Chicago area) applicants only,ย no third parties, please. Illustrate your attention to detail by reaching out directly atย  ย  b p e n n e yย @ s i e r r a i t s . c o m
