Century Aluminum (NASDAQ: CENX), the largest producer of primary aluminum in the United States, is seeking an experienced Senior Counsel – Commercial Contracts to join its in-house legal team in Chicago.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded lawyer to partner closely with business leaders across procurement, sales, operations, IT, and corporate functions in a fast‐paced, asset‐intensive manufacturing environment.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗠𝗮𝗸𝗲𝘀 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗥𝗼𝗹𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴:

• Broad commercial exposure, including supply, sales, services, logistics, and technology agreements

• Trusted advisor role working directly with cross‐functional business teams

• Opportunity to support strategic initiatives, joint ventures, and growth projects

• Join a mission‐critical industry aligned with long‐term domestic manufacturing and energy transition priorities

𝗜𝗱𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗶𝗹𝗲:

• 5+ years of experience at a leading law firm and/or sophisticated in‐house legal team

• Strong background drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements

• Manufacturing, industrials, energy, metals, or asset‐intensive industry experience preferred

• Practical, business‐oriented mindset with the ability to operate independently

Location: Chicago, IL (primarily in‐office, with one WFH day per week).
