Epitec is seeking to fill a HR Coordinator-Hourly Personnel to temporarily support the Human Resources team for the largest global automaker at a large manufacturing facility in Chicago, IL. This role reports to the Manager of Employee Relations and supports critical hourly personnel operations in a high volume, unionized plant environment.
This position requires advanced Excel expertise, final ownership of audit reviews, and the ability to work quickly and accurately with large data sets supporting over 4,300 hourly employees.
Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and process hourly personnel transactions using internal HR systems
  • Track manpower planning and hourly changes using internal databases
  • Input and maintain hourly employee records in a timely, audit compliant manner
  • Maintain HR records with final ownership of audit reviews and corrections
  • Support the Chicago Assembly Plant HR team with daily HR operations
  • Assist with hourly recruiting, hiring, and onboarding as needed
  • Onboard new hires; create personnel jackets and employee profiles
  • Support manpower planning activities including hiring, layoffs, and unemployment
  • Handle requests and inquiries from legal and retirement divisions
  • Encourage an inclusive, respectful work environment while aligning with company goals and values

Required Skills & Experience
  • 5+ years of ADVANCED Microsoft Office experience, with heavy emphasis on Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables, formulas, large spreadsheets)
  • Proven experience working with very large data sets (4,000+ employee records) and high-volume data entry
  • Demonstrated experience ensuring HR records are audit compliant, including final ownership of audit reviews, validations, and corrections
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to work quickly and accurately under tight deadlines
  • Experience supporting HR operations in a fast paced, high volume environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and Word

  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience supporting a unionized workforce
  • Experience with Oracle HCM or similar HR systems
  • Analytical or labor relations exposure

  • Required: High School Diploma or GED
