Job description

YOUR ROLE IN THE FAMILY:
  • Maintain a safe and secure work environment, correcting unsafe acts/conditions
  • Support implementation, maintenance, and improvement of food safety and handling systems
  • Operate forklifts to load, unload, move, replenish, and stage pallets, materials, ingredients, and deliveries
  • Pick and stage ingredients for the syrup/mixing room following FEFO/FIFO principles
  • Move materials to and from storage areas, loading docks, production lines, railway cars, and/or storage facilities
  • Load CHEP pallets for returns and unload CHEP pallets to support production • Verify BOLs, complete inspection forms, and check production/manufacture dates for quality requirements
  • Receive ingredients in SAP and communicate with the Lab Department as needed
  • Identify damaged materials and maintain compliance with FTZ material handling regulations
  • Ensure loads are secure and optimized for safe and efficient transport
  • Perform daily equipment checks and identify workplace safety hazards
  • Examine materials/products to verify conformance to quality standards
  • Maintain and follow sanitation practices and all area-specific SOPs
  • Follow supervisor instructions regarding policies and procedures
  • Understand and respond appropriately during emergencies; implement contingency plans as required
  • Comply with environmental regulations when handling hazardous and non-hazardous materials and waste
  • Operate and adapt to the use of multiple types of lifts to include but not limited to standup reach, sit-down, double forks, and dock stockers

  • 1 year of warehouse experience preferred
  • Forklift License strongly preferred

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
  • Works in a manufacturing environment
  • While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to: talk, hear, reach with hands and arms, grasp, pick, lift, stand, walk, and perform repetitive motions. The employee must frequently lift and /or move 50 pounds. The employee is required to have visual acuity to perform an activity such as operate production machines where the seeing job is at or within arm's reach
  • This position is exposed to occupational hazards, including but not limited to high noise levels, physical obstacles, exposure to chemicals, etc.
  • Must wear appropriate safety glasses, hearing protection, clothing, and footwear in appropriate areas and follow safety practices
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Work Night Shift 4 on 4 off schedule
