Job description

TITLE OF POSITION: Receiving Clerk/Tow Motor
REPORTS TO: Warehouse Manager
JOB PURPOSE: To ensure that all the merchandise is on a purchase order and checked in on the system.
JOB RESULTS:
  1. Performs specialized administrative and clerical duties requiring some selection and interpretation of data and instructions.
  2. Ensures the accurate receipt of merchandise from vendors and returning of shipping errors.
  3. Assists in breaking all freight down into proper proportions.
  4. Distributes all products to proper stocking or back stocking area.
  5. Assists in year-end inventory.
  6. Keeps all empty pallets in warehouse area picked up.
  7. Keeps tow motor cleaned and reports all damages
  8. Loads all salvage, including chep pallets, excess brown pallets and all recycle materials.
  9. Assists in the unloading of Company trucks when needed.
  10. Assists in stocking areas when deemed necessary by supervisor.
  11. Separates all returns from return department and distributes them to the proper areas.
  12. Assists with the entering of purchase orders into the computer system.
  13. Ships packages via UPS.
  14. Assists in determining bin locations for merchandise.

REQUIREMENTS:
  1. High school education or equivalent.
  2. One to two years related experience.
  3. Ability to lift 40-60 pounds.
  4. Knowledge of basic office equipment operation.
