Job Summary:

Reporting to the Supervisor, the Pallet Quality Auditor is responsible for the precise inspection of pallets to ensure they meet customer criteria and standards. This role requires the ability to inspect wooden Chep pallets and other pallets, ensuring they meet quality standards. You must also be able to repeatedly lift a 75lb pallet. Pay Rate: $24.00 an hour
  • Guaranteed Progression: 50-cent per hour increases at 90 days, 1 year, and annually thereafter for a total of 5 years, reaching the maximum rate at 5 years in this role.

What You'll Be Doing:

As a Pallet Quality Auditor, your responsibilities will include:

  • Auditing pallets from repair lines to ensure they meet customer criteria.
  • Dividing and distributing pallets based on quality criteria and grade of pallet.
  • Maintaining accurate records on pallets repaired and audit scores.
  • Adhering to all safety rules and regulations.
  • Maintaining a clean and orderly work area.
  • Lifting and moving 75lb wooden Chep pallets to inspect them and move them into their designated areas.
What We're Looking For:
  • Experience in quality control, inspection, or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects and imperfections.
  • Physical ability to repeatedly lift 75lb wooden Chep pallets.
  • A deep understanding of quality criteria and grading standards.
  • Experience maintaining accurate records, either on paper or electronically.
  • A strong commitment to safety rules and regulations.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and lift for extended periods.
  • Capable of lifting and moving materials regularly throughout the shift (e.g., lumber, pallets), with the ability to lift up to 50-75 pounds.
  • Ability to hear and understand verbal instructions, machinery sounds, and safety alarms in a noisy environment.
  • Excellent vision (including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus) for detailed work, reading measurements, identifying defects, and operating machinery safely.
  • Requires good manual dexterity and visual acuity for inspecting pallets.
Work Environment:
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee will primarily work in a manufacturing or production environment. This may include exposure to wood dust, sawdust, moderate to high noise levels, and varying temperatures. Steel-toed boots and other personal protective equipment (PPE) will be required.
