Marriott Syracuse Downtown seeks Senior Marketing Manager that is experienced, energetic and can drive visibility, guest engagement, and revenue across the hotel and its food and beverage outlets and to ensure Crescent Hotels & Resorts and Marriott brand high standards of cleanliness are met.

Here is what you will be doing each day as a Senior Marketing Manager:

  • Lead the marketing strategy and campaign execution for Eleven Waters and Shaughnessy's Irish Pub, as well as banquet, catering, weddings, meetings, and social events.
  • Develop seasonal campaigns, happy hour promotions, cocktail features, dining experiences, holiday programming, game-day activations, and special events designed to increase traffic and spend.
  • Create strategies that drive covers, check average, bar revenue, repeat visits, and overall F&B revenue.
  • Work directly with chefs and outlet leaders to promote menu launches, signature dishes, cocktail programs, chef features, seasonal offerings, and special events.
  • Build Eleven Waters and Shaughnessy's into recognizable local dining and entertainment destinations with distinct identities and audiences.
  • Develop programming around Syracuse University football, basketball, Parents Weekend, graduation, holidays, downtown events, concerts, sporting events, and other high-demand periods.
  • Create campaigns designed to increase local traffic during traditionally slower dayparts and periods.
  • Develop strategies to drive pre-event and post-event dining and drinking among hotel guests, wedding guests, convention attendees, and local visitors.
  • Support catering and banquet marketing with campaigns that generate weddings, social events, corporate meetings, holiday parties, luncheons, and other F&B opportunities.
  • Develop and manage outlet-level promotional materials including menus, table tents, digital signage, promotional graphics, event collateral, and in-house marketing.
  • Monitor online reviews and guest sentiment related to food and beverage and develop marketing initiatives that reinforce quality, consistency, and the overall guest experience.

Candidates should have:

  • 3+ years of progressive marketing experience in hotel, restaurant, hospitality, or related environments.
  • Strong preference for candidates with hotel and food & beverage marketing experience.
  • Proficiency with Canva and/or other creative platforms.
  • Marriott experience and familiarity with Marriott brand standards strongly preferred.
  • Strong copywriting, communication, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to connect marketing activity to measurable revenue results.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with chefs, outlet managers, banquet teams, catering, sales, revenue management, and hotel operations.
  • Creative, proactive, entrepreneurial, and comfortable working in a highly visible hospitality environment.
