Touchmark at Emerald Lake in McKinney, TX is currently seeking the right person to join our culinary team as a Sous Chef!
As part of the culinary team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to a high-quality full-service active adult retirement community by assisting the Chef with both culinary and administrative tasks as well as playing a key role in contributing to our resident and guest satisfaction and goals. Your commitment to delivering the highest quality of food, product standards, sanitation, and safety will ensure that every person's dining experience is extraordinary, every time.
The ideal candidate will:
  • Have a commitment to Touchmark's values (excellence, teamwork, hospitality, integrity, and compassion), as well as a desire to model these values and encourage others to be allies, friends, and givers
  • Have proven cooking experience as a Sous Chef in fine dining
  • Have experience working in a high-volume kitchen
  • Experience in culinary and administrative responsibilities of a kitchen
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Assist in training new and existing kitchen staff in the preparation, arrangement, and plating of dishes per the current menu
  • Be willing to obtain First Aid/CPR certification
  • Be willing to work weekends and holidays
  • Be able to lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds and stay on your feet for long periods
  • Maintain a positive and professional attitude when dealing with residents, family members, visitors, and team members
