Job description

OVERVIEW

Alera Group is looking for a Commercial Lines Account Manager. We are seeking highly motivated colleagues who bring experience and enthusiasm to our team – joining us may be the perfect fit for you! Prior experience in Commercial lines is required. This role can be located in one of the following offices: Appleton, Green Bay, Madison, Onalaska or Waukesha.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Service and manage a portfolio of mid-market to large commercial insurance accounts by coordinating renewals, policy changes, endorsements, billing, audits, and client inquiries while ensuring regulatory and company compliance
  • Support new and renewal business by preparing applications and proposals, evaluating client exposures, analyzing loss trends, obtaining carrier quotes, and assisting producers with marketing and placement
  • Collaborate closely with producers, underwriters, carriers, and internal teams to deliver seamless client service, maintain accurate agency system records, and drive strong account retention

QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or equivalent required (Associate’s or Bachelor’s preferred)
  • 2+ years of commercial lines insurance servicing experience
  • Active P&C license required or ability to obtain within a specified timeframe
  • Working knowledge of commercial insurance products (GL, Property, Workers’ Comp, Auto, Umbrella, etc.) with proficiency in agency management systems such as Applied Epic, AMS360, or similar
  • Strong communication, organization, and attentiontodetail skills with a commitment to professional development, including pursuit of CISR, CIC, or related designations within two years
