RNs must be prepared to float frequently to meet the staffing needs of the hospital***Heart & Vascular Unit - 7HVU is a 49-bed unit. It is considered a specialty medical/surgical unit that is fast paced and will provide growth in professional knowledge and expertise in the care delivery of our cardiovascular patients. The staff will care for specialty patients, such as stable heart and lung transplants, and Ventricular Assist Devices (LVADs). The Cardiac Vascular Unit is a sister unit to the Cardiac Progressive Care Unit.Ratios are 1:5 days/1:6 nights. Depending on staffing, night ratios can be 1:7 (this is rare, but facility wants travelers to be aware).BLS, ACLS requiredNIH, CPI Preferred2 years of prior experience required (must have 2 years exp in large, urban hospital)Drips are required on all floorsEPIC charting experience requiredFirst timers NOT accepted (will consider if the traveler has 2 years of experience at a Level l Academic Medical Center)Will float within scope to meet facility needs (this includes potentially floating to Bellevue campus). Units may include, but are not limited to 4CS, 5 West, 6 Neuro, 4/5 Lied, 6/7 Lied, 7 HVU, 8 Werner, 9 Trauma, Bellevue MS, Observation, SOTU.In addition to CNAs, care teams include care techs, transport team, swoop/paramedics.
