Charity Development Assistant (Commission-Based) Organization: Down Syndrome for Life Michigan (DSL Michigan) Position Type: Commission-Based / Flexible Schedule About Us Down Syndrome for Life Michigan is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting families, raising awareness, providing resources, and promoting the dignity and value of every person with Down syndrome. Position Summary We are seeking a motivated and organized Charity Development Assistant to help grow our nonprofit. This person will play a key role in building community partnerships, securing sponsorships, organizing meetings, and helping expand our online presence. Responsibilities - Research and contact potential sponsors and donors. - Schedule appointments and meetings with businesses, community leaders, and supporters. - Help manage and grow our online presence through social media and digital outreach. - Assist with fundraising campaigns and special events. - Follow up with prospective sponsors and maintain communication. - Help organize files, documents, and sponsorship information. - Represent the organization professionally in the community. Qualifications - Strong communication and people skills. - Organized and self-motivated. - Comfortable using email, social media, and online tools. - Passion for nonprofit work and helping families. - Sales, fundraising, or marketing experience is a plus but not required. Compensation This is a commission-based position. Compensation is earned through sponsorships and donations secured for the organization. Commission details will be discussed during the interview process.
