Job description

The Chapel Specialist is a part-time member of the Chapel Staff who reports to the Chapel Coordinator
and is responsible for implementing the outreach and evangelization of our Chapel ministries based on
our Parish mission.
Requirements
• Setting up Chapel information (brochures, music, holy water, candles) before opening
• Welcoming and educating visitors on the history, ministries, and events at the Chapel
• Promoting all teachings of the Catholic Church in a way that non-Catholics can understand
• Helping visitors to have a better experience at the Chapel
• Maintaining information table and brochure holders
• Maintaining the supply shed and notifying the Chapel Coordinator of any shortages
• Assisting with services such as Mass, Adoration, Confession, the Rosary, and the prayer teams
• Maintaining votive, tapers, and 3-day candles throughout the day
• Promoting candle and general donations
• Promoting Perpetual Candles with the goal of selling all the spots
• Promoting the gift shop
• Maintaining order and peace within the Chapel
• When applicable, leading present volunteer Chapel Ambassador(s)
• Assisting in all fundraising campaigns
• Escorting all visitors off the premises at closing
QUALIFICATIONS
• Lover of Jesus with an active prayer life and a call to spread His love to all people
• Devout Christian who attends weekly mass/service
• Knows and upholds the teachings of the Catholic Church
• Outgoing, personable, highly energetic person
• Feels comfortable and confident in a fast-paced, crowded environment
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills with people of all faith backgrounds
• Able to work weekends
• Able to lift 30lbs
• Will need to complete Safe Environment Training
