Job description

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
  • Manage relationships with customers and distributors to understand their requirements and develop appropriate solution(s) to best meet their needs across western NC and western SC
  • Develop and implement a sales strategy that addresses the needs of channel partners, end-users, panel shops, OEMs, controls integrators and installers in effort to grow sales and promote the nVent HOFFMAN brand
  • Identify and pursue sales at high growth accounts while maintaining and developing existing accounts
  • Continuously scan for prospects with current or new customers to achieve new sales, expand offerings within the account, and populate account pipeline consistently and on a timely basis
  • Provide continual updates via CRM on Key Account and conversion status of target accounts
  • Provide reporting, forecasting for business planning purposes
  • Provide extensive product and solutions training for customers and distributors.
  • Respond to customer issues and provides follow-up to assure resolution
  • Maintain knowledge of competitors' activities throughout assigned territory
  • Understand current market relationships and partnerships with customers and distributors. Capable of communicating strategic messages to regional channel partners as directed by the Regional Sales Manager
  • Assume responsibility of achieving a sales quota
YOU HAVE:
  • Ideally 5+ years in an outside sales role in the industrial sales, with electrical products
  • A bachelors degree, or applicable outside sales experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of selling through a channel model
  • Skills associated with selling to multiple types of customers, including distributors, consultants, engineers, end users, OEMs, MROs and contractors
  • Skills to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications using "Light" reader CAD software
  • Skills in managing multiple tasks/projects along with the ability to work in a self-directed manner
  • Skills to develop and deliver effective presentations and proposals
  • Ability to use strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to present their views in a clear and compelling manner
  • Ability to work 100% from a home office and travel 10-25% of the time in the region of NC and SC

Pay Transparency

nVent's pay scale is based on the expected range of total target cash pay for this job and the employee's work location. Total target cash is comprised of an employee's base salary and sales incentive target opportunity, when annual sales goals are achieved.

Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.

If annual sales performance exceeds annual sales goals, the total target cash received may exceed the pay scale maximum reflected below.

Total Target Cash Range:

Geographic Region A: $101,400.00 - $188,300.00 +Geographic Region B: $110,600.00 - $205,400.00 +Geographic Region C: $96,300.00 - $178,800.00 +

Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
