Job description

The Performance Marketing Owned Media Channel Strategy and Optimization (CSO) team is responsible for driving growth and efficiency across owned digital marketing channels (e.g., Chase.com, Chase Mobile, email) within the Consumer & Community Banking Marketing division. We leverage data, technology, and creative strategies to optimize performance, maximize ROI, and deliver best-in-class customer experiences in Chase.com and Chase Mobile App.

Job Summary 

As a Channel Strategy & Optimization Senior Associate on the Pages and Placements team, you will lead the channel strategy and performance analysis across owned digital marketing channels. This is a highly visible, strategic role with significant interaction with cross-functional teams across the firm. You will assess marketing effectiveness at the channel, page, placement, and full-funnel levels; design analytics frameworks and execute governance processes; and partner with dedicated teams to develop channel and marketing strategies that support Line of Business (LOB) top priorities, objectives, and targets. You will translate insights into executive-ready communications and clear recommendations, ensuring campaigns meet or exceed performance benchmarks. You will partner closely with channel stakeholders to bring the highest-priority initiatives to life through a combination of strategy, measurement rigor, and scalable operating mechanisms.

Job Responsibilities

  • Expand channel strategy which creates holistic strategies and solutions to help meet LOB top priorities, objectives, and targets while moving away from reactive, placement-specific requests 
  • Share recommendations and best practices through channel expertise and the pages and placements playbook, strategic insights and analytics. 
  • Partner closely with CSO Relationship Management, CSO Reporting & Innovation, Ad Frameworks, P&I, Ad Ops, etc teams to maintain insight into all LOB marketing, plans and experiments and leverage accordingly.
  • Enhance default strategy to ensure customers are getting the best possible experience and create incremental business
  • Assess LOB performance at the channel, page, placement, and across the full marketing funnel to understand marketing effectiveness
  • Manage and drive oversight in the governance and execution of channel pages & placements and experimentation launches and revisions
  • Create and communicate executive-level presentations and messages to socialize insights and decisions
  • Partner with Owned Media Optimization, Experimentation, Product, and Marketing Execution teams to create and execute strategies for exception requests, communicate and explain decisions to LOBs, and create a governance playbook to streamline end-to-end processes
  • Partner with the Owned Media Optimization team to dive deep into campaign strategies to optimize targeting, creative, placement strategy, and frequency caps
  • Monitor weekly and monthly results to detect significant changes; investigate root causes, strengthen channel strategy
  • Integrate AI and automation into channel marketing workflows to proactively reduce manual operations and enhance campaign efficiency

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Bachelor's degree in a marketing or relevant business field (e.g. digital product, marketing analytics)
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in digital marketing analytics, marketing technology, performance measurement, and experimentation in web or app channels
  • Strong analytical capability and proficiency with data analysis tools and platforms (e.g., Adobe, Analytics, Tableau) with the ability to structure and solve complex problems
  • Executive communication skills to develop and present insights clearly to senior stakeholders and LOB partners, including decisions and their rationale
  • Strong stakeholder and relationship management, problem-solving, and business judgment to balance speed, governance, and performance outcomes
  • Project management skills with proven ability to effectively manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight from leadership
