Job description

Who You Are

You are a strategic builder and executor who excels at translating business strategy into scalable, integrated marketing programs. You have a proven track record of developing and launching channel partner programs that drive mutual growth and meaningful business impact. You are analytically minded, creative, and comfortable operating at the intersection of strategy, execution, and systems design. As the channel partner marketing function grows, there will be opportunity for you to manage and develop team members.

In this role, you will work closely with the Partner Marketing Director to help shape and execute the channel partner strategy. You'll partner with the Director on developing the channel playbook-defining business opportunity, audience segmentation, value propositions, and operating model-then own the development and execution of integrated marketing plans by audience (brokers, accountants, business services). You'll orchestrate across field marketing, demand generation, brand, marketing ops, and partner experience teams to ensure channel marketing programs are cohesive, compliant, and effective. You'll also identify and build the processes and systems that enable scalable execution-from auditing and optimizing communication channels to designing workflows with marketing ops and lifecycle comms.

You thrive on building scalable systems and repeatable processes. You're comfortable working with ambiguity and bringing clarity through data-driven insights and strategic thinking. You see gaps in how work gets done and take initiative to improve processes. You communicate complex partnership dynamics in clear, simple terms, and you're equally at home discussing channel strategy with executives or optimizing a campaign workflow with marketing ops.

Your Success ProfileWhat You Will Work On
  • Channel Partner Playbook Strategy: Work closely with the Partner Marketing Director on developing and refining the channel partner playbook. Help shape decisions around business opportunity, audience segmentation, value propositions, and operating model. Ensure the strategy is sound, audience-specific insights are incorporated, and execution plans are realistic and actionable.
  • Channel Marketing Plans by Audience: Own the development and execution of integrated marketing plans for each channel audience segment (brokers, accountants, business services). Define positioning, messaging, campaign themes, and go-to-market approach tailored to each segment's needs and buying behavior. Execute campaigns in coordination with demand gen, field marketing, and brand teams.
  • Systems & Infrastructure Design: Spearhead the design and implementation of processes and systems that enable scalable channel marketing execution. This includes auditing and optimizing our communication channels, designing marketing workflows, establishing approval processes, and working with Marketing Ops and Partner Experience teams to build the operational infrastructure that supports consistent, compliant execution.
  • Campaign Orchestration & Execution: Own operational planning, creative direction, timeline management, and performance tracking for channel marketing campaigns. Coordinate across multiple teams (field marketing, demand gen, brand, marketing ops) to ensure campaigns are executed on time, on brand, and aligned with channel strategy.
  • Measurement & Analytics: Define what success looks like for channel marketing programs. Establish KPIs and measurement frameworks that connect channel marketing activities to business outcomes (pipeline, revenue, partner activation). Analyze campaign performance against metrics and drive optimization recommendations.
  • Channel Partner Enablement: Develop enablement frameworks and toolkits that arm channel partners with the knowledge, resources, and confidence to sell and market Justworks solutions. Ensure resources are tailored to each audience segment, intuitive, and regularly updated based on partner feedback.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Serve as the connective tissue between channel strategy and marketing execution. Lead alignment discussions with field marketing, demand gen, brand, product, and partner experience teams. Navigate competing priorities and drive consensus on channel marketing priorities.
How You Will Do Your Work

As a Staff Partner Marketing Manager, how you achieve results is paramount. You ground your work in the following foundational knowledge, skills, abilities, and personal attributes:

  • Strategic Thinking with Execution Discipline: You balance big-picture strategy with meticulous attention to detail and timelines. You break complex channel marketing challenges into clear, actionable workstreams and deliver measurable results. You're comfortable moving between strategic conversations and tactical execution.
  • Systems & Process Thinking: You identify gaps and inefficiencies in how work gets done. You think in terms of workflows and systems, and you take initiative to design processes that scale. You balance the desire for perfect systems with the reality of iteration.
  • Clear Communication: Articulate thoughts and express ideas effectively through written, verbal, visual, and presentation formats. You translate strategic initiatives into clear briefs for cross-functional partners and external stakeholders. You listen actively to understand partner needs and operational constraints.
  • Partner-Centric Mindset: You approach channel marketing from the partner's perspective, asking "What problem does this solve for the broker/accountant/business service?" You understand partner business models, sales cycles, and success metrics. You're genuinely invested in partner growth.
  • Analytical Rigor: You leverage data and metrics to inform strategy, validate assumptions, and drive continuous improvement. You're comfortable with analytics tools and translating data insights into business recommendations.
  • Collaboration & Cross-Functional Leadership: You work effectively with cross-functional teams across marketing, sales, field, operations, and product. You have the authority and expertise to influence team priorities and decisions. You're resourceful, diplomatic, and solution-oriented when navigating competing priorities.
  • Creativity & Resourcefulness: You bring creative thinking to channel marketing challenges, developing innovative campaign approaches and solutions. You optimize what you have and find effective solutions within constraints.
  • Attention to Consistency & Brand Integrity: You ensure all channel partner-facing materials maintain Justworks brand standards, tone, and quality. You care about a cohesive, on-brand experience across all touchpoints.
  • Adaptability: You're comfortable in a fast-paced environment where priorities shift. You adjust course based on feedback and market dynamics while maintaining focus on core objectives.

Qualifications
  • Experience: 12+ years in channel marketing, partner marketing, or allied functions such as field marketing, account-based marketing, or partner enablement, preferably in a B2B SaaS, HR tech, or professional services environment. Proven track record of developing, launching, and scaling channel partner programs that drove measurable pipeline or revenue impact.
  • Channel Partnership Expertise: Deep understanding of channel partner models, audience types (distributors, brokers, consultants, etc.), and what drives channel partner success. Demonstrated experience developing channel-specific GTM strategies and operating models.
  • Systems & Process Design: Proven ability to identify operational inefficiencies and design or improve workflows and processes. Experience improving marketing operations, communication cadences, or execution processes.
  • Strategic Thinking & Execution: Demonstrated experience developing comprehensive go-to-market strategies and translating them into audience-specific, executable marketing plans. Comfortable defining value propositions, positioning, and operating models.
  • Marketing Program Management: Strong project and campaign management skills. Experience owning the full lifecycle of marketing programs from strategy through execution, optimization, and reporting. Proficiency with project management and marketing automation tools.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively across marketing, sales, field, operations, and product functions. Experience influencing team priorities and driving alignment among stakeholders with competing priorities.
