Job description

Company Overview

Boomerang Ventures combines a venture studio and venture fund to provide capital and hands‑on expertise to very early‑stage life science start‑ups to build them more quickly and effectively toward a fast, lucrative exit with a likely time horizon of 3‑5 years. First‑time founders needing business, technical and other expertise to form and build a new company are a good fit for the Studio.

WithYou

WithYou is an early‑stage digital health startup dedicated to improving the emotional and psychological well‑being of cancer survivors. Our mission is to provide accessible, evidence‑based mental health support through a mobile digital therapeutic platform rooted in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Designed by cancer survivors, we have built a user‑centered solution to help individuals navigate survivorship, enhance resilience, and regain a sense of control and purpose in their lives.

Position Summary

As the CEO of WithYou, you will be mission‑driven, and a visionary CEO to lead the company through its next phase of development — from product validation and clinical partnerships to go‑to‑market strategy, fundraising, and team expansion. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the healthcare innovation landscape, experience with digital therapeutics or behavioral health technologies, and a passion for addressing unmet needs in oncology care.

  • Recruit and lead a high‑performing cross‑functional team, including product, clinical, technology, and operations. Consider contractors and employees.
  • Foster a mission‑driven, inclusive, and agile company culture.
Product & Market Strategy
  • Guide development of the ACT‑based digital therapeutic, ensuring clinical rigor, user engagement, and health equity.
  • Develop and execute go‑to‑market plans, including payer/reimbursement strategy and B2B/B2C channel development.
Partnerships & Ecosystem Engagement
  • Cultivate strategic relationships with cancer centers, patient advocacy groups, clinical researchers, and digital health ecosystems.
  • Represent the company externally at industry events, conferences, and media opportunities.
Qualifications
  • Proven track record as a founder, CEO, or senior executive in a digital health, medtech, or therapeutics startup.
  • Experience leading early‑stage companies through product development, fundraising, and market launch.
  • Strong understanding of behavioral health, oncology, or digital therapeutics (experience with ACT or similar modalities is a plus).
  • Demonstrated success in raising capital and building strategic partnerships.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and team‑building skills.
  • Passion for improving the lives of cancer survivors and advancing mental health access and innovation.
Preferred Experience
  • Familiarity with FDA regulatory pathways for software as a medical device (SaMD) or prescription digital therapeutics (PDT).
  • Knowledge of payer dynamics and reimbursement models for digital health solutions.
  • Background in psychology, behavioral science, or health tech product development.
  • Strongly prefer experience working within startups or healthcare sectors.
  • Closely matches the Boomerang Studio Core Values: Collaborative, Innovative, Results Driven, Problem Solver, and Customer Oriented.
Benefits
  • This role includes a competitive equity stake in the company, with salary and benefits commensurate with stage and funding.
