Job description

We’re looking for a high-energy, well-connected Regional Business Development Manager to own and grow CHAUVET’s presence across the Northeast U.S. home to some of the most influential venues, designers, and production companies in the industry. At CHAUVET, we believe in empowering lighting professionals with dependable, high-value solutions that inspire creativity and elevate every performance. This is a chance to represent a brand built on genuine partnership, trusted quality, and a relentless drive to push the boundaries of what light can do.

As a Regional BDM, you’ll be the face of CHAUVET in a territory spanning ME, NH, VT, MA, RI, CT, NY, NJ, PA, DE, WV, VA, MD, OH, IN, KY and MI. You’ll work with a world-class product portfolio from intelligent moving lights and LED fixtures to architectural and theatrical systems selling into theaters, houses of worship, rental & staging companies, integrators, live event production firms, and themed entertainment venues. You’ll engage both the channel and end users to build demand from the ground up.

Why CHAUVET?

Joining CHAUVET means representing a brand that lighting professionals genuinely seek out, trust, and believe in. We’re a company that moves fast, backs our people, and builds products with real purpose. Add to that a culture built on accountability, innovation, and winning together, and you have everything you need to build a dominant position in your territory.

What You’ll Do

  • Own your territory: build and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve and exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets across the Northeast region.
  • Prospect, qualify, and close new business across the AVL channel including integrators, dealers, rental & staging, and production companies while managing and growing your existing dealer account base.
  • Lead and develop relationships with manufacturer rep agencies, coaching and enabling rep partners to effectively position and sell the full CHAUVET portfolio.
  • Identify and engage key decision-makers, lighting designers, theatrical consultants, technical directors, A/V integrators, procurement managers to drive specification and pull-through sales.
  • Work alongside CHAUVET’s growing Design & Applications team to bring technical drawings, system designs, and support resources to dealers, helping them win more business with CHAUVET solutions.
  • Actively demonstrate products in the field for dealers, specifiers, and end users.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline data and account activity in CRM to support forecasting and territory planning.

Other duties may be assigned.

What You’ll Bring

Required

  • 5+ years of territory or channel sales experience in professional AV, entertainment lighting, or related technology with a demonstrated track record of hitting revenue targets.
  • An established network of dealers, integrators, rental companies, or rep agencies across the Northeast U.S.
  • Experience managing or working alongside manufacturer rep agencies.
  • Solid understanding of professional lighting systems, control protocols (DMX, ArtNet, sACN), and AVL integration workflows.
  • Self-starter mentality with the ability to manage a large territory independently while staying connected to a national team.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 50% within the Northeast territory.

Preferred

  • Existing familiarity with the CHAUVET product portfolio or competitive pro lighting brands.
  • Experience selling into houses of worship, live event production, broadcast, or permanent installation markets.
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms (Salesforce or equivalent) for pipeline management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field or equivalent professional experience.

Compensation & Benefits

We offer a competitive compensation package designed to reward top performers:

  • Competitive base salary + performance-based bonus (OTE guidance provided on application)
  • Product demo kit and field support resources
  • Travel expense reimbursement
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision benefits
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Paid time off and company holidays

Our Hiring Process

  1. Submit your application and resume
  2. Initial phone/video screen with our Talent team
  3. Video interview with the National Sales Manager and National Sales Director
  4. In-person meeting and product immersion at CHAUVET HQ or field location
  5. Offer and welcome to the team
