Dove Creek Ambulance District is looking for EMTs, AEMTs, and Paramedics to join our emergency medical services team.

What You'll Do

• Respond to emergency and medical calls throughout the service area
• Assess, stabilize, treat, and safely transport patients
• Obtain vital signs, medical histories, and other relevant patient information
• Provide appropriate airway management and emergency medical interventions within your certification and applicable protocols
• Administer medications and treatments as authorized by your level of certification
• Operate emergency medical equipment, including cardiac monitors, power stretchers/cots, and LUCAS devices
• Safely extricate and transport patients in challenging environments when required
• Continuously monitor patients during transportation and respond to changes in their condition
• Communicate effectively with receiving hospitals and healthcare professionals during patient handoffs
• Complete accurate patient care documentation
• Maintain ambulances, medical equipment, and supplies
• Participate in continuing education, training, and professional development

What We're Looking For

We're open to candidates at all EMS certification levels.

• Current EMT, AEMT, or Paramedic certification through any valid state or national registry is required.

EMT

• Current EMT certification
• Current BLS certification
• Colorado EMT license, or ability to obtain it upon employment
• IV certification preferred, with opportunities to obtain additional training

AEMT

• Current AEMT certification
• Current BLS certification
• Colorado AEMT license, or ability to obtain it upon employment

Paramedic

• Current Paramedic certification
• Current ACLS and PALS certifications
• Colorado Paramedic license, or ability to obtain it upon employment

Experience

No prior ambulance or emergency vehicle driving experience is required.

We provide on-the-job training and CEVO emergency vehicle operator training.

Previous EMS experience is welcome, but we're also interested in motivated candidates who are beginning their EMS careers.
