Risk Management Director
Lincoln Community Health Center, Inc., a federally qualified health center (FQHC) serving the Durham County community for more 55 years is currently seeking a Risk Management Director to join our Leadership Team. The ideal candidate will be an Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) or Registered Nurse. The position is responsible for managing the Risk Management Program, Infection Control and Joint Commission Coordination. The position will also oversee the Occupational Health Program. Previous experience in Risk Management or Infection Control is desired, additional course work in Infection Control preferred. Seeking applicants with strong leadership, mission focus, and excellent interpersonal/communication skills. Attention to detail and computer skills are required. If you are a health care professional seeking the opportunity to serve the community- this position is for you.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Perform a variety of administrative and clinical responsibilities to manage the Center's Risk Management Program to include but not limited to Occupational Health, Infection Control, Environment of Care and Joint Commission Readiness... The position is responsible for managing the Risk Management Program to include training activities, promoting health and safety to all employees by facilitating the Employee Health Program which includes disease prevention, detection, and treatment. The occupational health nurse is also responsible for educating Staff on Infection Control Practices and Procedures. This position serves as our Joint Commission Champion and is responsible for the coordination of all Joint Commission preparation activities and updates. The position is responsible for ordering all clinical supplies and equipment as well as maintenance and training.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Knowledge of scope of practice for the Registered Nurse and ability to operate within this scope. Knowledge of and appropriate application of the nursing process. Ability to independently seek out resources and work collaboratively. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Ability to communicate clearly with patients, families, visitors, healthcare teams, physicians, administrators, leadership, and others.
Competent in BLS and Instructor certification. Ability to use the computer and learn new software programs. Ability to document and communicate pertinent information using computer and/or paper documentation tools. Working knowledge of infection control procedures and safety precautions. Ability to multi-task remains focused and organized.
EDUCATION: Completion of a Nurse Practitioner of Physician Assistant Program or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and additional course work in Risk Management and Infection Control.
EXPERIENCE: Work requires a minimum of 3 years' experience in Nursing.

Requires a current North Carolina licensure as a registered nurse. BLS certification.
