We are currently seeking an experienced:

REGIONAL RISK MANAGER
Job Summary:
  • Administers/Implements the Risk Management Program for all operating divisions of Liberty Healthcare Group (including Home care, hospice, LTC, and Senior Living)
  • Assesses operating risks involving clinical (patient care and regulatory), business (safety/WC), and legal (claims processing/investigation) risk exposures and liabilities
  • Serves as a liaison with corporate management, employees, insurance companies, and regulatory/legal agencies to minimize asset losses through the establishment of comprehensive policies, procedures, ongoing audits, best practices, and consistent quality improvement
  • Implements systems, policies, and procedures for the identification, collection, and analysis of risk-related information
  • Educates leadership, staff and business associates, and helps to define their respective roles in supporting the risk management program
  • Leads facilities, and advices departments in designing risk management programs within their own departments
  • Collects, evaluates, and maintains data concerning patient injuries and care metrics, liability claims, workerโ€™s compensation, and other risk related data
  • Investigates and analyses root causes, patterns, or trends that could result in compensatory or sentinel events.ย  Helps to identify and implement corrective action where appropriate
  • Provides timely reports to Director of Risk Management on incidents, site visits, claims and claims payments
  • Works with legal counsel to coordinate investigation, processing, and defenses to claims made against the organization
  • Actively participates in facilities committees related to risk management, safety, and quality improvement
Job Requirements:
  • Registered Nurse with a bachelorโ€™s degree or related clinical or allied health field (NP, FNP, GNP, or PA)
  • Prior experience in LTC, home care, and/or hospice environment and current certification as a nursing home administrator preferred
  • Certified Risk Manager or capable of attaining professional certification within 12 months of employment
  • A minimum of 5 yearsโ€™ experience in one or more of the following fields; Risk Management, QI/QA, Healthcare Administration, Insurance investigation/Settlement.ย  7 years of direct risk management experience in a healthcare environment is preferred
