Job description

Senior Strategy & Operations Associate

Department: Marketing

Employment Type: Full Time

Location: Raleigh, NC

Description

Strategy & Operations Associate

Guardian Service is seeking a Senior Associate, Strategy & Operations to work closely with senior leadership on the strategic and operational priorities driving our next phase of growth.

This role is ideal for someone with experience in management consulting, investment banking, private equity, corporate strategy, or a high-growth operating environment who is excited by ambiguity and wants meaningful ownership in building and scaling a business.

You’ll work across some of Guardian Service’s highest-priority opportunities, helping leaders frame complex questions, evaluate tradeoffs, develop data-driven recommendations, and translate strategy into execution. The scope will evolve alongside the business and may span growth, customer acquisition, operations, new market opportunities, and other strategic initiatives.

This is a true generalist role with significant exposure to senior leadership and the opportunity to develop a broad understanding of what it takes to build and scale a high-growth business.

Your Day-to-Day
  • Partner directly with senior leaders to tackle high-priority strategic, growth, and operational initiatives
  • Own workstreams from initial problem framing through analysis, recommendation, and execution
  • Frame ambiguous business questions into structured hypotheses, analyses, and actionable recommendations
  • Analyze financial, operational, customer, and performance data to identify opportunities to accelerate growth and improve profitability
  • Evaluate, test, and help scale new growth opportunities, including customer acquisition strategies, channels, and business initiatives
  • Monitor key business and financial metrics, connecting operating performance to broader business and P&L impact
  • Help prioritize initiatives based on potential impact, investment required, and strategic importance
  • Partner cross-functionally to move initiatives from concept through testing, implementation, and measurement
  • Distill complex findings into concise, executive-ready memos, analyses, and presentations that drive decision-making
  • Identify opportunities to leverage AI, automation, and new technologies to improve efficiency, deepen insights, and accelerate execution

About You
  • Bachelor’s degree with a track record of strong academic and professional performance
  • 3–5 years of experience in management consulting, investment banking, private equity, strategy, operations, or another analytically rigorous environment
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to bring structure to ambiguous problems
  • Strong business judgment and an ability to connect detailed analysis to the broader strategic and financial picture
  • Comfortable taking ownership and operating with limited direction in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Strong communicator who can synthesize complex information and influence decision-making with data-driven insights
  • Curious, resourceful, and highly motivated, with a bias toward action and a willingness to roll up your sleeves
  • AI super-user who is excited to experiment with new tools and approaches to create efficiencies and unlock opportunities
  • Experience in consumer, digital, growth, analytics, or financial services businesses is a plus, but not required

Why You Should Join Us
  • Results: Guardian Service is scaling rapidly, doubling booked premium month-over-month.
  • Opportunity: Personal lines insurance is a massive market ripe for transformation, and we’re investing $100M+ over the next three years to build Guardian Service into a leader.
  • Ownership & Impact: You’ll own initiatives that directly affect company performance, with leadership fully aligned around growth.
  • Exposure & Learning: Work alongside leaders who have built and scaled businesses, led large teams, and driven results at Fortune 500 companies.
  • Career Growth: No cap on advancement or the ability to own high-impact projects.
  • Stability: Privately owned, debt-free, and financially strong.
  • Culture: High standards, but also a team that values fun and camaraderie.

The Package

We offer a competitive base salary based on experience. As a full-time team member at Guardian Service, you'll also enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including health, medical, and vision insurance, a 401(k) match, flexible PTO, and a cell phone reimbursement.
