Job description

Job ID: 41676 | Location: Broussard, Louisiana, USA | Work Model: Onsite
Clariant is currently looking for an Operator to support the Care Chemicals business unit in Broussard, LA. This role is responsible for safely operating production and material handling equipment, supporting solvent washing processes, maintaining equipment and chemical inventories, and performing basic troubleshooting and routine maintenance. This is a full-time, onsite position working Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The Operator will play an important role in maintaining safe, reliable, and efficient operations while following Clariant safety, quality, and operating procedures. Join our team and contribute to a safe and productive manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
  • Set up, operate, maintain, and adjust Solvent Washing Machine sprayer equipment while following established operating procedures.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels of chemicals and supplies used in the wash process and notify the supervisor when reorder points are reached.
  • Follow Clariant safety and quality requirements, including proper containment procedures, applicable regulations, and required personal protective equipment (PPE), including flame-resistant (FR) clothing.
  • Perform routine equipment maintenance and inspections, including monitoring minimum and maximum chemical levels and completing basic equipment checks.
  • Identify equipment issues and perform basic troubleshooting to help maintain safe and reliable operations.
  • Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move materials throughout the facility.
  • Operate filling and transfer equipment in accordance with established procedures and safety requirements.
  • Safely load and unload bulk tankers while following site procedures and applicable safety requirements.

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Forklift operating experience, preferred
  • Current Forklift Operator Certification or willingness and ability to obtain certification.
  • Strong technical aptitude and basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to follow operating and safety procedures, communicate effectively, and work safely in a production environment.
