Job description

VCG is looking for a Cerner Systems Engineer. Scope will include support the training and completion of sustainment work on the CST project. The ability to mentor/train junior staff is essential in this role and the contractor should be a skilled Cerner builder with the patience to train junior staff with only basic Cerner training. Consultant will also be required to report on the progress of the new staff achievement of their learning objectives. Consultants may be asked to perform Cerner build for the CST project while CST project staff train and onboard new staff.

Senior Cerner Technical Support of the Cerner Millennium 2012.1.18 and Cerner Millennium 2005 with an emphasis on System Support that includes;

โ€ข Understand current Architecture and implications to process, workflow, and System support

โ€ข Excellent Communicator to CST Sustainment Leadership

โ€ข Troubleshooting as required for end user issues relating to the supported systems

โ€ข Work closely with CST SE's and other application analysts to resolve issues

โ€ข When required complete Evaluation, analysis, documentation of requirements, and

translation into proper system requirement specifications

โ€ข Technical Operational Support for the current functionality for:

o Olympus

o WTS Location

o Deployment Manager

o Environment Manager

o Citrix in regards to Cerner[Intermediate level]

o Printing Support โ€“ Assist and Educate printer team for the Specialized Build, Troubleshooting, and Support for both Legacy Cerner CW and Legacy Forensic Cerner systems.

o CAMM database

o WebSpere [Intermediate level]

o Linux [intermediate level]

o Disaster Recovery Toolkit

o Millennium Objects

o Downtime processes

o Code and Software management

o Security Management โ€“ Secret Server

o Scheduled Downtime Planning and Support

o System Performance Monitoring โ€“ Daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly

  • Server monitoring and Support
  • Forensic Cerner โ€“ work with Parsec(VMS support Vendor) to remediate any identified issues

o Issue Management

  • Troubleshooting and Remediation assistance

o System Current State

o System Configuration โ€“ all domains

o Server cycling

o Troubleshooting issues with Win10 Upgrade Testing, Citrix Receiver Upgrade
