Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical-Surgical

Location: Rushville, Illinois

Pay Rate: $ 1,800 To $ 2,016 /Week

Contract: 13 Weeks

Schedule: Night Shift | 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM |  12-Hour Shifts

Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours/Week

Experience: Med/Surg Nursing Experience Preferred

About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week contract opportunity in Rushville, Illinois. This position provides high-quality nursing care in a Critical Access Hospital, caring for adult and pediatric medical-surgical patients. The ideal candidate is committed to delivering patient-centered care, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and supporting positive clinical outcomes in a community-focused healthcare environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive nursing care for adult and pediatric medical-surgical patients.

  • Perform patient assessments, administer medications, manage IV therapy, and monitor patient progress throughout hospitalization.

  • Triage patient needs, prioritize care, and communicate changes in condition with physicians and the healthcare team.

  • Educate patients and families while promoting safe discharge planning and continuity of care.

  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation using Cerner and support quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.

Requirements
  • Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) License required.

  • Current BLS certification required.

  • ACLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain within six months.

  • Previous Medical-Surgical nursing experience preferred.

  • Strong communication, critical thinking, and patient care coordination skills.
