Job description

Registered Nurse (RN) - Contract Role

Specialty: Nursing

Location: Weirton, WV

Duration: 7-Week Contract

Shift: Days (36 Hour Guarantee)

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse for a short-term contract. The selected candidate must be willing to work during the Thanksgiving period, including Friday and the weekend after, as well as the Christmas-New Year Day block (if scheduled). Time off requests during these holidays will not be approved.

Note for Local Travelers: Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will be considered at a 10% reduction of the posted rate. This condition is non-negotiable.

Responsibilities
  • Work with COVID patients as required
  • Care for a patient population primarily consisting of geriatric individuals
  • Manage a unit with 33 beds, maintaining a patient ratio of 1:8
  • Charge experience is a mandatory requirement
  • Proficiency in administering medication, conducting physical assessments, and changing dressings is necessary
  • Use of Traveler-provided scrubs in Navy Blue as the dress code
  • Utilize the Cerner EMR system
  • Work in a Level 4 Trauma Center
Submission Requirements
  • 2 years of current skilled nursing experience is a requirement
  • Charge experience is essential
  • Proficiency in med passes, physical assessment, and dressing changes required
  • A BSN is preferred
  • Experience with Cerner EMR system is preferred
  • At least one year of previous travel experience is required
Certification Requirements
  • BLS (AHA) certification
State License Requirements
  • West Virginia state license
