What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a CEPA (Certified Exit Planning Advisor), and why are they important?

To thrive as a Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA), you need expertise in business valuation, financial planning, and succession strategies, typically supported by the CEPA certification and relevant professional experience. Familiarity with exit planning software, financial analysis tools, and CRM systems is often required. Strong interpersonal skills, strategic thinking, and effective communication help advisors build trust and guide business owners through complex transitions. These competencies ensure successful exit outcomes and help clients achieve their personal and financial goals.

What are CEPA professionals?

They are trained to guide owners through the complex process of exit planning, including financial, operational, and emotional aspects. CEPA professionals often collaborate with a team of experts such as accountants, attorneys, and financial planners to ensure a successful exit strategy tailored to the owner's goals.

Job description

We are Reckitt
Home to the world's best loved and trusted hygiene, health, and nutrition brands. Our purpose defines why we exist: to protect, heal and nurture in the relentless pursuit of a cleaner, healthier world. We are a global team united by this purpose. Join us in our fight to make access to the highest quality hygiene, wellness, and nourishment a right and not a privilege.
Supply
Our communications and external affairs team are at the very heart of Reckitt's brand, purpose and products, bringing them to life around the globe for our employees, consumers, investors, governments and our suppliers. It's a rewarding task, growing and protecting Reckitt's image and brand. Every day, we design public relations and communication strategies that build awareness, trust and relationships, while steering us away from reputational risk. We do this by gathering and maintaining knowledge of our policies, principles, and business strategies, while keeping up-to-date with relevant developments right across our business units and trusted brands. From digital, media and events to employee experience, strategic relationships, and community partners, we identify opportunities to deliver on our business and sustainability agenda, while proactively identifying storylines and opportunities to advance our narrative.
About the role

This newly created North America regional role will be instrumental in driving our environmental and sustainability agenda across our supply sites. The role will translate strategy into action, initially ensuring compliance with all legislation within the geographies we operate and compliance with Reckitts standards. Partnering with Regional and Site Directors, you will review compliance status, advise on challenges and help develop and deliver the site environmental masterplans. Your focus will be on delivering manufacturing locations that are compliant and building a future that supports our sustainability strategic agenda.

This role is not currently sponsoring visas or considering international movement at this time.

Your responsibilities
  • Lead regional environmental strategy and execution, aligning manufacturing sites and R&D with Reckitt's global environmental and sustainability objectives while championing environmental priorities across North America
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and environmental risk management, overseeing adherence to applicable laws, leading risk assessments and incident response, and supporting sites to close audit findings on time
  • Drive sustainability and impact programs, including initiatives to reduce water use, waste, carbon emissions, and packaging impact, while embedding ecodesign and circularity principles in partnership with Supply and Procurement
  • Provide governance, reporting, and transparency for environmental KPIs and data systems, ensuring accurate tracking of initiatives and performance across sites
  • Lead stakeholder engagement and team development, partnering with internal teams and regulators, representing Reckitt externally, and building highperforming environmental teams with a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
The experience we're looking for
  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science, Engineering, Sustainability, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience in environmental leadership within CPG or manufacturing industries.
  • Deep understanding of environmental regulations and sustainability frameworks (e.g., EPA, CEPA, GHG Protocol).
  • Experience environmental data systems.
The skills for success
  • Strong passion for sustainability and environmental stewardship, with a clear understanding of how environmental practices integrate into manufacturing operations
  • Proven execution and change management capability, able to translate strategy into pragmatic actions embedded in business processes
  • Collaborative and influential communicator, skilled at engaging diverse stakeholders, adapting messages to different audiences, and building strong working relationships across cultures
  • Resilient, adaptable, and selfdirected, comfortable working independently in a fastpaced, dynamic, and partly remote environment
  • Analytical and strategically minded, able to balance attention to detail with a broader business perspective to solve complex operational challenges
  • Innovative and openminded problem solver, bringing creative, practical solutions to environmental and operational issues
What we offer

With inclusion at the heart of everything we do, working alongside our four global Employee Resource Groups, we support our people at every step of their career journey, helping them to succeed in their own individual way. We invest in the wellbeing of our people through parental benefits, an Employee Assistance Program to promote mental health, and life insurance for all employees globally. We have a range of other benefits in line with the local market. Through our global share plans we offer the opportunity to save and share in Reckitt's potential future successes. For eligible roles, we also offer short-term incentives to recognise, appreciate and reward your work for delivering outstanding results. You will be rewarded in line with Reckitt's pay for performance philosophy.
