Job description

KLR Executive Search Group is proud to partner with Eastern Fisheries, Inc. to recruit a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for its New England-based operations. Eastern Fisheries is a vertically integrated seafood company built through a partnership between two established family organizations, with operations spanning harvesting, processing, and global distribution and a workforce of over 200 employees in the U.S. and 450 internationally.

This is a senior leadership role within a well-established, relationship-driven organization undergoing a transition from a founder-led model to a more scalable, professionally managed enterprise. The CEO will report to the Board of Directors and work closely with ownership to drive operational excellence, organizational alignment, and long-term growth. This role requires a balance of hands-on leadership and strategic vision, with a strong focus on building structure, developing talent, and enhancing overall business performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee financial, operational, and commercial performance of the business.
  • Implement KPIs, reporting structures, and operating cadence across all functions.
  • Strengthen leadership team effectiveness, succession planning, and accountability.
  • Improve cross-functional alignment across sales, operations, and supply chain.
  • Enhance sales discipline, pricing visibility, and margin performance.
  • Develop and execute the Company’s strategic roadmap in partnership with the Board.
  • Manage global operations and complex international supply chain dynamics.
  • Evaluate and refine organizational structure, roles, and responsibilities.
  • Drive process improvement and operational efficiency across the business.
  • Build scalable systems and infrastructure to support long-term growth.

Qualifications:

  • Proven track record as a CEO, President, or senior executive driving growth and profitability.
  • Experience in food, manufacturing, distribution, or related industries preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in scaling founder-led, family-owned, or privately held businesses.
  • Strong operational leadership with the ability to build structure and systems.
  • Experience working with Boards and navigating multi-stakeholder environments.
  • International business and supply chain experience preferred.
  • Strong financial acumen and understanding of performance management.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Base salary range estimated $400,000-$600,000.
  • Bonus opportunity based on individual and company performance.
  • Comprehensive benefits package.
