Job Summary

The HR Analyst, Compliance will be responsible for providing analysis of various human resources programs. This position will conduct government reporting such as EEO1 and Affirmative Action plans, as well as provide support and analysis for hourly compensation programs and the company's electronic I9 Tool. The HR Compliance Analyst will be responsible for ensuring data integrity, compliance, and identifying and executing process improvement opportunities. In addition, he/she will assist in coordinating HR policies, processes and develop relevant documents. This position is a cross functional assignment that interfaces with multiple facets of the business including, Field HR, Payroll, Benefits, Compensation, Legal, IT and Operations. This position will report to the HR Compliance Manager.

Job Responsibilities
  • Assist in Corporate HR compliance activities including but not limited to: AAP reporting, EEO-1 and Vets 4212 reporting, HR Policy creation, and Time and Attendance Compliance
  • Assist with responding to internal and external audits
  • Manage and provide training and support for company's electronic I-9 tool
  • Assist with implementation of new company initiatives or new state and/or federal mandates.
  • Generate ad hoc reports from various HR information systems for various internal customers or external agencies
  • Responsible for preparing periodic reports and correspondence for state and federal agencies.
  • Recommend changes to current processes to provide more effective use of the HRIS, and take lead to implement changes
  • Manage and provide training and support for company leave programs
  • Stays abreast of leave laws & regulations, Federal & State - FMLA, DOL, ADA, etc.
  • Regularly interface with various stakeholders to resolve employee, data or HR system issues
  • Provide ideas to innovate and improve processes
  • Perform other job responsibilities and projects as assigned by management
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of professional-level HR or HRIS 
  • HR systems reporting or project management experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of labor laws such as FLSA, FMLA, ADA, COBRA, PFL, HIPAA
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field from accredited college or university
  • Prior HR experience in Construction or Manufacturing environment preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Intermediate experience in Microsoft Excel required, Advanced experience preferred
  • Knowledge of organizational communication tools and how to effectively utilize
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills required
  • Strong attention to details
  • Strong ability to interpret and analyze workforce data (examples of prior work may be requested)
  • Work with multiple levels of leadership to support enforce HR compliance requirement
Working Conditions
  • Capable of working in an open concept office environment 
  • Available to work extended hours from time to time
  • Job involves sitting most of the time with walking or standing for brief periods of time
     
Physical Requirements
  • Requires stationary position, traverse, move, transport, and the ability to significant degree to operate, activate, use, prepare, inspect, place, detect, or position
  • Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate with employees and other individuals as well as function safely within an office environment and, on occasion, may visit industrial plant locations
