Job description

The Deployment Technician I will close, package and ship assigned orders as requested. This role will work closely with the Order Coordinator, Quality Lead and Deployment Manager to meet shipping SLAs without compromising quality. The Deployment Technician I will report to the Deployment Manager.

OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT: DEPLOYMENT DIVISION

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Receive new orders printed at Order Admin station into system to indicate as received by Deployment Department.
  • Assign orders to correct department (production line, inventory clerk for HW pick, tech center, etc.) for processing.
  • Close Manufacturing Orders and Sales Orders and Release to RDY TO SHIP (attaching equipment to actual order using serial number).
  • Pick accessories and collateral as required for each order.
  • Securely package all materials as required for each order
  • Ensure all required items are included in each order packaged and are ready for Final Quality Assurance and shipping
  • Utilize Ship Center to generate outbound and return shipping labels as required for each order
  • Validate method of shipment and address to the order.
  • Maintain organization of Deployment inventory stock and cleanliness of Deployment work areas.
  • Build kits, fold shipping boxes and other duties as may be required by the Deployment Manager.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Detail-oriented and methodical.
  • Highly motivated with a sense of urgency.
  • Ability to adjust to changing conditions and anticipate needs in a fast-paced environment.
  • Possess good safety habits.
  • Good organizing, technical problem-solving/troubleshooting, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must value cleanliness in work station and equipment.
  • Passion for producing quality work that meets safety, quality and efficiency standards.

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma, minimum.
  • 1-2 years of experience in an encryption environment preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a warehouse.
  • Must be able to stand, lift, bend, squat, sit and walk for long periods of time.
  • Knowledge of operating a PC: requires clerical skills to update equipment status.
  • May require being cross-trained in Shipping.
