CDE Lightband serves over 84,000 metered homes and businesses with electric service and more than 30,000 customers with broadband services over our Fiber-to-the-Premise Network. We seek energetic, professional, and courteous individuals to join our Safety Team within the Human Resources Department.

Job SummaryIncumbents, working with the Safety Manager, are responsible for overseeing building and ground upkeep, maintenance, and repair, as well as all facility maintenance and enhancement duties. Responsibilities may include ensuring all facility locations are stationed for exceptional and safe employee and customer experiences; reviewing and confirming maintenance and janitorial ticket submissions, providing routine customer service; entering data; sorting and delivering documents; and operating standard office equipment; monitoring public and private areas; ensuring compliance with safety rules and regulations per CDE Lightband policy and practice, as well as all APPA and OSHA laws and regulations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Directly supports the Safety Manager in overseeing the CDE Lightband facilities' needs for all office and substation locations, working with the Safety team and others as needed. Monitors and maintains all areas to ensure safety, cleanliness, and proper repair. Performs maintenance for facility improvement with skilled work for efficiency, to include, but not limited to, maintenance and repair, light electrical and light plumbing issues, maintenance of heavy customer areas, outside trash removal, emergency cleanup as needed, and other duties of a similar nature.
  • Facilitates communication with vendors for all external work, purchases, and routine maintenance.
  • Provides the source of communication to all workforce members, onsite customers, and vendors during any specific or perceived threat of an emergency.
  • Directly supports the Safety Manager and collaborates with Safety Attendants to address off-hour security needs, capacity, and crowd management within the lobby and other customer support or public areas, as well as routine overall needs to ensure a safe and secure customer experience.
  • Performs and assists with specific projects as needed, per request or as required.
  • Works with the Safety Manager to ensure compliance with all CDE Lightband Safety rules and regulations, as well as all APPA and OSHA regulations.
  • Direct and assist others during emergencies and/or other potentially confrontational situations. Must maintain composure during stressful or potentially agitated times, produce a reliable, predictable, and dependable work product, and provide fair and just treatment of all customers and employees.
  • Prepares, reviews, and/or processes a variety of routine correspondence, logs, information, and paperwork; keys information into applicable spreadsheets and/or databases; as well as files documents by prescribed methods in established filing systems.
  • Performs other duties as assigned of a similar nature or to assist as needed
Qualifications

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent (GED); Associate degree preferred but not required

Experience:

5-7 Years of experience in facility maintenance, construction, logistics, or project management.

Certifications & Licenses:

Certifications in HVAC, Small Motor/Forklift, preferred but not required. CPR/AED or ability to obtain upon hire

Other Requirements:

An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job is also considered
