Night Nursing Supervisor, needing them to also be available Friday and Sunday
  • Directs and supervises Nurses and CNAs.
  • Provides direct care to residents, as necessary;assist other staff members with care as needed. May administer medications, treatments and tube feedings.
  • Maintains and monitors the physical environment of the facility to ensure the safety and well-being of residents and staff. Assures that utility rooms are in order, and emergency supplies are present and ready for use.
  • Reports changes in residents' conditions to physician and develops an appropriate plan of care.
  • Carries out physician's orders according to established policies. Ensures that all medications and treatments are administered in accordance with written physician orders.
  • Oversees preparation of employee's assignments and monitors same for satisfactory completion.
  • Leads CCP team meeting and initiates and updates CCP as needed.
  • Makes frequent rounds on all residents to ascertain the resident's condition, quality of care, environmental problems, complains and application of plan care.
  • Observes and assists in the dining room during resident meal times and ensures that all staff is present and performing their dining room assignment. Assures that resident's eating abilities are accurate.
  • Reports all unusual occurrences/emergencies to the DON or ADON.
  • Receives and gives report at change of shift and conveys resident information to the staff when giving assignments.
  • Handles all emergencies, which may occur.
  • Collaborates with other departmental staff to meet the total needs of residents.
