Excellent opportunity for a highly motivated individual that enjoys social services and the elderly. Universal Metro Aging Services is a Not-For-Profit organization that aims to serve immigrant populations of India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, the Middle East, Latin America and Europe. UMAS is a small, family run organization. The perceptive employee would need to have experience with that or have experience wearing multiple hats. In addition, perceptive employee should be able to work autonomously, be a self-starter, and have initiative and lots of follow through.


Roles and Responsibilities

  • Homecare Supervisors report directly to the Site Manager, who is managed by the Executive Director
  • Prepares a schedule of Homecare Adie for the participant being served in the Santrax/Sandata Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) system
  • Monitors on a daily basis the Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) Sandata/Santrax system to make sure the Homecare Aides (HCA) are following their programed schedule for each participant assigned
  • Make sure that there are memos written in the EVV system for any schedule/service deviation by confirming with the participant and HCA/FHCA;
  • Review the Monthly Activity Task Report making sure it coincides with the Plan of Care for each participant
  • Make quarterly unannounced visits to any Family Homecare Aide (FHCA) who is assigned to service a family member
  • Assist with the pre-employment and semi-annual trainings as deemed necessary;
  • Attend meetings, conferences, or any job related presentation deemed necessary on behalf of the agency as assigned by the Executive Director and or Immediate Supervisor

Requirements

Qualifications include:

  • Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent. Bachelor degree in human services, social work gerontology, activity therapy, recreation, physical therapy, art therapy or related field preferred. Associate Degree acceptable.
  • Experience: Pervious experience working with older adults or in an adult day care environment preferred.
  • Physical exam (no more than 6 months prior to employment)
  • CPR/First Aid certification or willing to be become certified
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
  • Excellent communication skills, including oral, written and presentation
  • Self-motivated, creative, flexible and results driven
  • Ability to be a productive team member/player

Additional qualifications include:

  • Being fluent in Hindi/Urdu/Guajarati preferred
