About the Role
CBRE is seeking an experienced Investment Banking Director to join our Capital Markets platform. This role is responsible for originating and executing complex advisory and capital markets transactions for institutional and private clients. The Director will play a key role in developing strategic client relationships, identifying investment opportunities, and delivering financial advisory services across mergers and acquisitions, recapitalizations, and equity and debt capital raises.
The ideal candidate combines strong financial expertise with deep industry relationships and a track record of successfully leading complex transactions. This individual will collaborate with brokerage, capital markets, and research teams to deliver integrated solutions that help clients achieve their strategic investment objectives.
What You'll Do
Originate and execute investment banking transactions including mergers and acquisitions, recapitalizations, structured financings, and capital raises
Develop and maintain relationships with institutional investors, private equity firms, REITs, and corporate clients
Serve as a trusted advisor to clients by providing strategic guidance on investment strategies, capital structure, and transaction execution
Lead financial analysis, valuation modeling, and preparation of transaction materials including pitch books, offering memorandums, and investor presentations
Coordinate due diligence processes and manage internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful transaction execution
Identify new business opportunities through market analysis, client engagement, and industry networking
Partner with CBRE brokerage and capital markets professionals to deliver integrated advisory solutions to clients
Mentor and support junior team members including analysts and associates
Stay informed on market trends, capital flows, and competitive activity to provide informed insights to clients
What You'll Need
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, Business, or related field required; MBA or advanced degree preferred
10+ years of experience in investment banking, capital markets, real estate finance, or related advisory roles
Demonstrated experience originating and executing complex transactions
Advanced financial modeling and valuation expertise
Strong understanding of capital markets, financial instruments, and transaction structuring
Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with institutional investors and senior executives
Exceptional analytical, presentation, and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple complex projects in a fast-paced environment
CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate's education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Investment Banking Director position is $175,000 annually and the maximum salary for the Investment Banking Director position is $225,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE's applicable benefit program.
