Description

St. Anthony Catholic School after-school program is designed to provide quality supervision for students whose parents need after school childcare. Care is provided until all students are picked up by their parent/guardian at 6 pm. Hours for workers may vary depending on need for staff and workers must be flexible to work with students from ages 4-14. It is imperative for all workers to remain calm, positive and upbeat so as to provide a nurturing atmosphere for all students. 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

To provide after-school supervision for students.

During after-school care, workers will provide adequate time for older students to do homework.

During after-school care, workers will provide supervised playtime outside (weather permitting) to provide a safe and positive environment.

Workers must be able to stand for extended periods of time and walk around supervising playground and classroom activities. Some stooping, lifting, bending, crouching and reaching are required.

Workers must be able to operate a two-way radio and speak clearly to communicate with the office staff and students.

After-school care workers will take attendance at each session.

After-school care workers perform other duties as assigned.
