Job description

Role & Responsibilities:
  • Problem resolution with appointments, delivery. Monitoring of clearance progress and dispatch modification based on freight availability for outbound.
  • Close relationship with key carriers and responsibility for timely security information input into TMS system.
  • Cost maintenance for Dispatches in TMS. Team player capable of supporting other team members with their workload if needed.
  • Check import freight uplift status by running and working large data set in excel.
  • Reach out to receivers for appointments.
  • Follow up with Air Import Team on clearance and prepare documentation packets.
  • Confirm freight availability at warehouse.
  • Reach out to truckers to procure reliable transportation.
  • Prepare finalized shipping BOL / Dispatch.
  • Monitor shipment (driver on time arrival) and delivery (POD).
  • Update milestones (appointment request, appointment confirmed, actual appointment date, estimated delivery date) in timely manner.
  • Open trouble tickets for issues with appointment scheduling.
  • Maintain cost and resolve accrual issues.
  • Work closely with account manager to provide timely and accurate information.
  • Other duties as assigned my management.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma.
  • Minimum of 2 years of industry experience (dispatch, import, analytics, etc.).
  • Advanced MS Excel skills (work with large data set - filtering, information extraction, knowledge of pivot tables a plus).
  • Ability to function independently, with minimal supervision, and thrive within a fast-paced and sometimes ambiguous environment.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Team-player - must be willing to collaborate and assist the team whenever possible.
  • Must have a can-do attitude with the ability to think outside the box when needed.
  • Must be able to work Sundays through Thursdays from 7:00am to 3:30 pm
