Job description

Saint John Paul II Catholic School, a PreK3 - 8th Grade diocesan school located in Lecanto, Florida, seeks a Middle School (grades 6-8) Science Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. This is considered a regular full time position set to begin Aug. 1, 2026. A part time position may also be considered.
Candidates for this position will support the mission of Catholic Education and the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Program (MYP).
The preferred applicant is passionate about teaching Science and must have a bachelors degree and hold, or be eligible for, Middle Grades Science (5-9) or Science (6-12) Certification from the Florida Department of Education.
Applicant will be able to incorporate technology into their classroom instruction and have excellent communication and organizational skills. Skills in providing students with differentiated instruction is required.
This position requires a Level II background check and mandated training in Catechism and IB (provided by the school).
