Your specific job assignments may include wandering through the crowd during cocktails, passing out appetizers; standing at one dish at a buffet station, serving a portion to guests as they pass through the line; or delivering plates to tables at full-service meals. You may also walk around pouring water, wine, and other beverages for guests, or you may take drink orders. Once the event is over, you tear down the food stations and help clean up in the venue and the kitchen. Catering servers may work for catering companies or for a banquet or event venue.
