Sila is creating its first centralized procurement function to unlock national scale while preserving local installation excellence.

  • Location: King of Prussia, PA (Hybrid: 3 days in-office)
  • Reports To: Vice President of Procurement
  • Department: Finance
  • Travel: Up to 10% (OpCo site visits, OEM plants, distributor QBRs)

  • This foundational hire will design and lead Sila's Direct Spend Sourcing & Category Management team. This position will own a growing portfolio of $150M+ in annual direct spend tied to HVAC equipment, plumbing materials, electrical components, refrigerants, and installation supplies. This position will support the build of a centralized procurement team, systems and supplier partnerships that drive cost leadership and field productivity across 40+ decentralized operating companies.
  • Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Build and lead a high-performing category management organization across the Direct Categories
  • Lead the development and execution of a Category Management strategy aligned to corporate cost savings goals and operational requirements for all current and future OpCo's.
  • Partner with business unit leaders and functional executives to understand demand, align sourcing strategies, and maximize total value.
  • Develop and execute category plans that drive value, reduce risk, and improve supplier performance.
  • Lead major RFPs, contract negotiations, and supplier selection in collaboration with business stakeholders and legal.
  • Drive adoption of preferred supplier programs and catalog management to control maverick spend and ensure policy compliance.
  • Conduct comprehensive market and spend analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities and leverage scale.
  • Monitor supplier performance, including cost, service, quality, and compliance, and develop supplier improvement initiatives.
  • Develop inventory strategies to minimize holding costs while ensuring adequate stock levels to meet production and customer needs
  • Collaborate with Accounts Payable and Finance to optimize payment terms, rebates, and working capital impact.
  • Leverage procurement technology (e.g., Coupa) to enhance visibility, automate workflows, and enable data-driven decisions.
  • Track and report on sourcing savings, pipeline, and category performance to executive leadership.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve category management and sourcing tools, scorecards, and metrics.
  • Additional ad-hoc responsibilities will be needed as the program grows and matures, list above is not exhaustive.
  • Qualifications (Required)
  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, or Business
  • 8+ years Category Management experience
  • Proven track record leading category strategies and sourcing across multiple spend categories.
  • Hands-on experience selecting and implementing S2P systems (Coupa, Ariba, etc.)
  • Preferred
  • Masters in Business Administration
  • CPSM or CPIM certification
  • Prior role at a multi-location service organization, or consulting firm with direct procurement focus.

$160,000 - $230,000 a year
