The Catastrophe & Exposure Manager leads catastrophe modeling and exposure management across Property lines, delivering highquality analytics that inform underwriting, portfolio optimization, regulatory reporting, and reinsurance strategy.

This role owns modeling accuracy, data standards, and platform effectiveness, while driving automation and continuous improvement. Partnering closely with underwriting and senior stakeholders, the manager shapes the organization's CAT modeling strategy, strengthens the View of Risk, and ensures globally consistent exposure management practices.

How You Will Create an Impact

  • Lead endtoend catastrophe modeling and exposure management across Property lines, ensuring consistent, accurate, and timely insights to support underwriting, portfolio optimization, and event response.
  • Own and enhance catastrophe modeling processes, data standards, and documentation, embedding best practices and strengthening model governance across the organization.
  • Drive process automation and technologyenabled efficiencies across Terra, RVT, and related portfolio management platforms.
  • Manage, train, and oversee outsourcing partners, ensuring adherence to internal modeling data quality standards and performance expectations.
  • Deliver actionable analytics, exposure reporting, and portfolio insights for senior leadership, including regulatory submissions, Group rollups, and event loss reporting.
  • Provide expert exposure management guidance at the account, class, and operatingentity levels, supporting risk selection, business planning, and reinsurance strategy, while advancing the organization's View of Risk.

What You'll Need to Succeed

  • Significant catastrophe modeling experience, with strong exposure to Property, Marine, and Energy lines, typically achieved with more than 5 years of experience.
  • Deep expertise in thirdparty vendor models, with AIR Touchstone experience crucial.
  • Advanced technical, programming, and analytical skills, including Excel and automation using SQL, VBA, Power BI, R/Python, and related data and visualization tools.
  • Strong understanding of relational databases, exposure data structures, and endtoend modeling workflows.
  • Experience implementing technology solutions and process automation within a catastrophe modeling or exposure management environment.
  • Proven ability to partner, facetoface, with underwriters and crossfunctional stakeholders, influencing decisions across levels and geographies.
  • Solid knowledge of outwards reinsurance, portfolio analytics, and commercial risk evaluation.
  • Demonstrated leadership, communication, and organizational skills, combining analytical rigor with creativity, accountability, and resultsdriven execution.

The base salary range is $111,400 - $144,600 (based on experience and location). Additionally, this position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan. We're proud to offer a range of competitive and comprehensive benefits packages.
