Requirements
Qualifications and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Allied health associates or bachelor's preferred or equivalent experience
  • Minimum two years of medical training or allied health related field experience
  • Experience in casting, splinting, taping/bracing preferred
  • Certification preferred - ex. OTC, ATC
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following
  • Provides DME/Casting Orthopedic care to patients within the clinic as needed for scheduled coverage
  • Prepare Casting rooms with necessary instruments and supplies
  • Provide patient care, treatment, and service in a continuous and well-coordinated manner, to meet patient need's
  • Educate patients in relation to their home medical equipment to facilitate safe and effective equipment use for desired outcomes
  • Promote safe, effective patient and organizational environments and equipment use.
  • Obtain, utilize, and update patient information in a confidential and secure manner for utilization in patient care and billing applications
  • Accommodate patient volume by assigning/changing staff for maximum patient flow and minimum patient wait times
  • Review and maintain the inventory management system
  • Keep an open line of professional communication with assigned staff and providers regarding patient needs
  • Performs other duties as required and assigned by Manager, including schedule changes and travel to office locations as assigned
